A Note to My Sons

You have the right --to drink RESPONSIBLY.

Never drive after drinking. EVER. Period.

Never use alcohol to "medicate" yourself
when you are tense or nervous
when you are lonely or depressed
when you are angry, or
when you want to confront someone or
discuss things that bother you.
Instead, think it over, remember what's important,
buck up, face it, trust yourself to handle it
and trust that people love you.

Never use alcohol to solve problems.

Never drink and drive or work on any
machine that moves or has moving parts.

Never drink and gamble or make decisions.

Never drink so much that you lose control
of your body or your mind--if you hurt people
when you are drunk, you ARE responsible
regardless whether you remember it or not--everyone else remembers.

NEVER EVER DRINK ALONE.

If you need a ride, call your mom, dad or someone who loves,
oh yes someone loves you.

Love you.
Mom
