...and then she opened a can of Whoop-ass!

Everyone is a teacher.

Jesse watched us in sheer delight like we were a clip on Americas Funniest Videos as I ran laps behind my kindergartener who ran around in circles until I caught him and put his snowsuit and boots on.

Go with you Soul let the Energy Flows
Time Standing Still
I told my son, “You did not teach a good lesson today.”

The next day his jaw dropped when he saw Jesse's mother run laps behind him in the vestibule. Okay, I admit it, it was hilarious...until she stopped…and opened a can of whoop-ass.

Jesse froze. His coat, boots and mittens went on in record time while he was harshly reprimanded, grounded and lost privileges for a week.

The guilt on my son's face left no question: he knew he taught a bad lesson

Either we lead like the Little Engine who DID or we follow like a caboose on someone else's train. Those are our choices. We are all teachers.

As parents of adults, we don't chase our children around the cavernous vestibule in our mind. We stand in the energy frequency of faith and love where we hold the high watch knowing our best seeds bear fruit for our children. This is the meaning of prayer. It is done.

No one said it was easy to stop running laps around the vestibule--ask the Little Engine how difficult it is to master the demons in our mind and have faith when the terrain is rough--but we know it's possible to apply the principles of constructive thought and release it into the flow of the highest knowing it is done.

Stray Dog Unlikely Pain Management Guru

Connie, a 12-year old stray dog with advanced osteo-arthritis turned out to be a pain management guru.
When Connie's whining, sleeplessness, and need for attention was deemed to be separation anxiety and her personality and personal choices were viewed as attention getting, Connie was actually waging a war with pain that was more intense than her very loving caregivers knew.

When Connie's meds were increased her face softened, her hair laid flatter, she slept peacefully, she whined less and her exuberant, people-loving, hard-working personality surged forth: she walked faster, she pulled on the leash, she walked further until she hurt herself, and then, and only then, did she lay down and rest.

When her pain meds were decreased her pain increased, her sleep was interrupted, she wandered around the house at night, she whined more, was capable of less...you get the drift.

There was no psychological overlay to her behaviour: Connie was unaware of medications or dosage. It was simple: the worse she felt the less she could do, the better she felt the more she did-- she did what she loved until it hurt and then she rested. This is animal nature, it is our nature: when we feel better we do better.

For those of us managing extreme pain, including mental/emotional pain, consider Connie's situation and stop beating yourself up. Walk a mile in Connie's paws, she does her best every day, when she can do more she does more and sometimes she endures great pain and long recovery because she simply must satisfy her spirit's need to do what she loves.

That is the nature of pain management. While Connie's first choice is to follow her spirit and do what she loves, people take care of business until it takes them down and they leave the rest, messy house, dirty dishes, lost connections. Connie's caregivers and our families and friends help us when they ride along with the ups and downs of the pain wave and they do with us when we can, do for us when we can't and don't punish us when we shouldn't have done it but we did it anyways.

Stuck in the Story

Animal Reiki
Confidence to Choose Your Path

Sometimes the dramatic stories shaping our lives overshadow the whole picture & the richness in the background of our lives fades away like it never existed.

When we are stuck in the story, or the story is stuck in us, let's flip the script and allow the loving elements that have always supported our authentic selves to come out of the background and become the focus of our attention.

Sometimes we go with the flow of the crowd and sometimes, like Starfall, the Ebony horse above, we step out to follow our heart.

Let's choose our path and clomp, stomp, plod, prance and dance to the beat of our true heart. That's really why we're here.

Stuff Happens. Seriously.

Stuff happens. Not just to you or to me, but to everyone. It's the human condition.

People get sick, they get injured, they lose their jobs and loved ones, they have breakdowns and crisis. When it hits the fan it doesn't just affect part of us, it affects the wholeness of us and we need a holistic healing response.

When things happen and we really need to heal  or to have things change in a big way, let's face it, there may be a lot we don't control. The thing we do control is what we think, how we respond & what we do to improve the situation. The Universe does its part, what we think and do is our part.

When I am blessed to be part of someone's holistic healing journey, I put my 22 years of Reiki and Energy Medicine training coupled with eight years of New Thought & Affirmative Prayer training to work.
Reiki, even at a great distance, is intelligent energy which penetrates the human energy field and body using ancient symbols and energy vibrations that shift the constructs of disease and distress holistically to promote healing and make good things happen.

Mass Murder / Suicide

How do I face New Year's Eve in a city where a single case of domestic violence resulted in the mass murder of nine people? This case of violence is but a reflection of what's going on in way too many hearts and homes, not only domestic violence, but loneliness, loss, addiction, and the gazillion ways we beat the shit out of ourselves  and each other every moment of every day.

Please let this be the final cry for help, let it be humanity's final call to action. The New Year offers a clean page on which humanity can write a healthy conclusion where people take care of their own and each other's mental, emotional, shitty-life-situational, I-fucked-up,-please-forgive-me, I-can't-take-this-crap-anymore health.

My heart is with the family and friends who have lost their loved ones. My heart is with all families and friends who have ever lost loved ones to murder or suicide. It's incredibly painful. My heart is with the emergency responders and bystanders who bear witness and pain. We are all in it together, and herein lies the  hope.
Where there is love there is hope, please feel free to contact me.

Hope for Healing

No matter how hopeless it seems
there is always an exception:
You are the exception.
Now matter how slim the chances,
someone has beaten the odds:
You are that someone.

Embrace complete success as the only truth.
You know what to do.
Take the next step.
There is always hope.

Love

One people. One spirit, one spiritual idea.
One language.
One creation.
That creation is love.
Eye to eye. See.
Heart to heart. Know.
Give.
One movement.
One moment.
That moment is now.
Do.
One reality.
That reality is love.
Do only this.

Lost Causes, Hopeless Cases, Utterly Hopeless Situations

If you have a lost cause, a hopeless case, an utterly hopeless situation and you’ve tried everything, please contact me and I will Distance Reiki you every day. I can’t promise anything except that I will hold a miraculous result in mind and I will Distance Reiki every day.

Reiki is not always straightforward. It shifts energy in, around and through the person receiving Reiki. It affects everyone, everything, and every circumstance connected to the person.

Everything in the universe is connected visibly or invisibly. Some connections are close in proximity, some connections have many conjunctions between, some are on different plains or different wavelengths and it takes time to bring them together.

When it seems nothing is happening, trust that it is. Reiki breaks negative connections and fosters positive connections. Although spontaneous healings do occur during Reiki treatment, sometimes it takes time to shift enough energy to bring the components of healing together.

Everything that happens after Reiki treatment that failed to occur before Reiki treatment demonstrates Reiki’s efficacy. Reiki works invisibly and predictably like the law of gravity. Chance, overhearing, word of mouth, following your intuition and saying YES to what is are all essential tools of Reiki.

In response for Distance Reiki, instead of money, please provide a short testimonial when your situation improves. Thank you.

What Breaks my Heart

I Reiki because I care. I offer free distance Reiki because I don't want people to suffer alone and I want to them to have every possible advantage to achieve better health.

In my blog I offered to Reiki people considering suicide, someone close to me didn't want Reiki and took their own life.

A friend who was hopelessly battling a bowel disease accepted Reiki, his life straighten out and in four months the surgeon found things "so healed in there" that he removed the bag, reattached the bowel, rebooted his system and he is doing great...yippie yahoo! Just as I was celebrating with that friend another friend flatly refused Reiki to support his minor-by-comparison-bowel surgery, blah blah, six months later he ended up in palliative care....heartbreaking for everyone around him!

Seriously, if you are reading this post it was written for you and this is the message: it can't hurt to add Reiki to your treatment, it may not change anything, but it might create an energy pathway for a miracle to happen, and, if nothing else, you won't be alone.
